General Terms (All Memberships)

Access to Aspire Gym is only offered to the named holder of the membership.

You are advised to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) prior to using the gym facilities. You must notify us of any significant changes to your health that may affect your ability to use the facilities safely.

Aspire Gym excludes liability for death, personal injury and loss or damage of any kind except where the death or personal injury is caused by the negligence of Aspire Gym or its staff.

Aspire Gym reserves the right to reject any application for membership or a renewal of that membership without providing any reason for that rejection.

Aspire Gym members should abide by the Code of Conduct (see below) in all of our facilities. The management team has the right to refuse admission, or ask to leave, any person who is behaving, in the view of the staff, in a dangerous or unsuitable manner.

For security purposes, your photograph will be taken on your first visit as a member. This photograph is used for identifying the cardholder prior to granting access to the facilities.

Aspire Gym reserves the right to withdraw or amend any of the above conditions or facilities offered at any time, without notice. Aspire Gym will endeavour to supply alternative facilities wherever possible.

Any personal information you provide will be held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and used for processing your membership. If you wish to receive further information with regards to promotions, member offers and events you should make this known when joining the scheme by identifying your preferred method of contact. We will not pass your details on to any other organisation/s without your permission.

All Aspire Gym memberships are subject to regular price reviews. Any change to memberships will be notified in writing a minimum of 10 days before any intended change.

Terms applicable to specific memberships
Monthly Memberships

Card payments are taken on the nearest working day to your date of joining each month.

Failure to pay, or declined transactions, can result in suspension of your membership.

Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time with your next payment being the final payment, with no refunds for not using the facilities.

To cancel your membership please email the team using the e-mail address hello@aspire-gym.com.
You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your cancellation request has been processed.

1 Year & 2 Year Memberships

1 year and 2 year memberships are paid in full at the start of your memberships.

No refunds or freezes can be issued or applied to 1 year or 2 year memberships.

1 year memberships expire on the first anniversary of your membership start date.

2 year memberships expire on the second anniversary of your membership start date.

Student Membership

If you are any age up to 16 (inclusive) your parent or guardian must apply on your behalf.

Your parent or guardian agrees to be responsible for your behaviour and actions at all times and to pay us any amounts that are due on your behalf.

When you reach 18 your Student membership will end and you will automatically and immediately become a full adult member, except if you continue in full time or part time education, including workplace apprenticeship schemes.
Corporate Memberships

Corporate memberships are only valid providing the following conditions are met:

The member remains employed by the approved organisation, note that the member may be requested to provide proof of employment by the approved corporate organisation at any time.

The company meets its minimum number of members within their Aspire Gym Corporate Membership agreement. If at any time these conditions are not met, the member will be given notice of their membership fee to return to the non-discounted standard rate at the current time.

Member Code of Conduct
​
Rules can be boring but we want Aspire to be a welcoming and safe environment for our members and staff. We all need to adhere to a few simple rules:

Our staff are here to help and have the right to work in a safe environment. We will not tolerate any verbal abuse, physical aggression, or violence towards any member of staff. We reserve the right to ask anybody acting inappropriately towards staff to leave, and depending on the severity of the incident may take further action including reporting the incident to the authorities and cancellation of membership without notice or refund.

We never mock, bully or laugh at fellow Aspire members.

We never take photographs, record videos or audio, of anybody in the gym without their prior permission, even if they are only in the background.

We respect whether this is your first time in a gym, or you're an experienced lifter, you do you.

Clothing such as denim, boots, flip-flops/sandals/slides, or workwear are not the right thing in our gym simply because they’re not safe or practical. Comfy exercise attire of your choice and suitable footwear is what we’re after. All members are required to wear a top whilst training, again avoiding the potential of being asked to leave the gym.

You cannot use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquillisers or any medication or substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely. If it seems like you’re not in the right state to use the facilities properly, we reserve the right to ask you to leave.

We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property, so remember to keep an eye out for your own belongings when visiting the gym.

We’ll always try to return your lost property, but unfortunately can’t take responsibility for any item held there. If you have left something behind, please call and we'll do our best to locate your missing property and hold it for you.

We have a great offering of personal trainers in our gyms but Aspire is not the place to engage in any unauthorised personal training business with other members, and it can lead to membership termination if anyone is found doing this.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted in any area of the gym.​
